CONCLUSIONS

Reading this side, we can guess that using ICT in a class meaningfully, effectively and smartly is not easy. Teachers must take into account a lot of things depending on students’ age, the time they are using ICT, the place where they are, contents, methodology…

However, Recio (nd) underlined that “technology has the potential of motivating children attitudes toward learning and turning the learning experience into more meaningful, entertaining and motivational practices”, so as a teacher we must make an effort to enhance and consolidate their use in education.

Although I am in favour of applying technology, I think that we cannot forget the traditional methods like experimentation or exploration. I also think that the sensorial stimuli that ICT offers us are very limited and its use should be balanced with the manipulation of real objects.

In any case, as it is said in Cruz and Duran’s (2013) article there are a lot of websites in the net (Jclic, WIX and ATENEX, for example), all of them have advantages and disadvantages. It depends on each teacher deciding which of them allows each learning process. That, neither is an easy process because, as Dogoriti (2013) told us, there are many patterns to take into account: easy to navigate, clear goals, esthetically pleasant, different activities corresponding to different levels, safe and integrated in the school curriculum.

All in all, teaching has never been an easy aim. ICT has made that work a bit easier offering a new tool, but technology will never replace personal attitudes, interaction and relationships.
